Anne-Marie

Anne-Marie is from Connecticut and spent her formative years in New England until she moved to Virginia to attend law school. Anne-Marie admitted to practice in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Connecticut. She started her career with a federal clerkship for a well-known bankruptcy judge in Alexandria, Virginia.

Thereafter, she worked with firms in the District of Columbia, Virginia and the United States Virgin Islands in their Bankruptcy, Creditor’s Rights and general business law departments. In 2001, after Anne-Marie’s son was born, she accepted non-legal positions with private and public schools until 2018 when she returned to the courtroom.

As an independent contractor, Anne-Marie made appearances on behalf of corporate clients who retained her on an as-needed basis. In 2021, she joined Life and Legacy Counselors full-time as an Editor and value this opportunity to utilize her legal background to support the mission of the firm. 

Outside of work, Anne-Marie is an avid supporter of her son, now at college, and her husband, who is a Research Physicist at Naval Research Laboratory, and her Lab-mix Layla who is testing out every parenting skill she ever learned.
